Pre-Surgical Prep
What to do before the surgery
- Fasting (Nil by Mouth): Remove all food 8-12 hours before the scheduled surgery. Water is allowed up to 2 hours before.
- Pre-Anesthetic Blood Profile: Highly recommended to check liver and kidney function to ensure safe anesthesia clearance.
- Drop-off Schedule: Arrive at the clinic by 9:00 AM. Bring any existing medical files and records.
- Cleanliness: Give your pet a gentle bath the day before, as they cannot be bathed for 10-14 days post-surgery.
